Chennai, May 16 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on Friday said he would hold consultations with Chief Ministers of other states (non-BJP ruled) to decide the next course of action on Presidential reference to Supreme Court prescribing timelines for giving assent
to the Bills adopted in the State Assemblies.
President Droupadi Murmu has sought to know from the Supreme Court whether timelines could be imposed by judicial orders for exercise of discretion by the President on giving assent for the Bills.
"We will hold consultations to seek the opinion of the CMs of other states and leaders. Based on it
we will take necessary steps," he told reporters before leaving for Chennai and meeting Badaga
community leaders...
