Christchurch (New Zealand), Nov. 17 -- New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell will undergo a scan on his left groin after experiencing discomfort during the team's seven-run win over the West Indies in the opening ODI at Hagley Oval.

According to the New Zealand Cricket (NZC), Mitchell, who scored his seventh ODI century, did not return to the field for the second innings at Hagley Oval.

NZC confirmed that Mitchell will stay back in Christchurch for the scan. The medical update is expected to determine his availability for the rest of the series, with Henry Nicholls called into the squad for cover.
