Solan (Himachal), Dec. 31 -- The police have made elaborate arrangements to maintain traffic and law and order at various locations in the district in expectation of tourist rush on New Year's Day.
Police and armed police have been deployed at several locations in the district, and the National Highway has also been divided into different sections.
Solan Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that due to the expected arrival of a large number of tourists from outside the state and other districts in Solan, traffic congestion is expected on National Highway 5 (Parwanoo to Shalaghat) and National Highway 205 (Rajghati/Darlaghat to Bangora).
