Hyderabad, Dec. 31 -- Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar on Wednesday announced stringent security measures across the city to ensure peaceful New Year celebrations, warning of strict action against any violations.
The Commissioner held a video conference with field-level officials from the TGICCC at Banjara Hills and issued clear instructions on event timings, liquor sales and traffic enforcement.
He said New Year events and celebrations would be permitted only till 0100 hours, and warned that action would be taken against organisers using sound systems or continuing celebrations beyond the permitted time.
