Agartala, May 25 -- The Ministry of Railways has introduced a new train service connecting Agartala with Guwahati, accepting Tripura's demand to establish dedicated connectivity between the two important cities.

The new train between Agartala and Guwahati (Narangi) is expected to boost Tripura's economy. Lok Sabha MP from West Tripura, Biplab Kr Deb, claimed it was the outcome of his meeting with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on April 22.

The service is expected to launch in a couple of months, by which time people can complete the journey in a day at an affordable cost, and it will be accessible for all. UNI BB SSP
