Lucknow, April 18 -- The Uttar Pradesh government is all set to set up 'Shakti Sadan' under the Mission Shakti programme as a part of its ongoing efforts toward ensuring safety, empowerment and rehabilitation of women, official sources said here on Friday.
Sources said that the plan to set up these shelters is now in its final phase and moving ahead with the implementation, the government has approved a fund of Rs 127.72 lakh for the initiative. "Each centre will have the capacity to accommodate 50 women and will serve as a secure refuge offering care and rehabilitation services," they said.
