Sydney, Jan. 28 -- Australia will finalise their playing XI at the coin toss in Galle on Wednesday, but stand-in captain Steve Smith has confirmed that Travis Head will open the batting alongside Usman Khawaja during the first ICC World Test Championship contest against Sri Lanka.
This decision ends speculation about Khawaja's opening partner, with Head set to replace teenage rookie Sam Konstas at the top of the order.
"Trav will go to the top, outside of that I think it will be pretty stable," Smith said. "I don't see it being a great deal of change from that."
