Chennai, Jan. 5 -- A Low Pressure Area has formed over the Bay of Bengal today eveningpromising to bring heavy rains, after a lull, in several parts of Tamil Nadu, including Cauverydelta districts,The Low Pressure is expected to intensify and become well marked.
Most parts of the state, including Chennai city and its suburbs has been witnessing chilly weatherconditions with dense fog in the morning hours, while hilly tourist places are witnessing frostconditions.
Met office sources tonight said a new Low Pressure Area has formed over southeast Bay of Bengaland& adjoining east Equatorial Indian Ocean.
