Chennai, Nov. 22 -- A fresh Low Pressure area has formed over Strait of Malacca and adjoining South Andaman Sea todayunder the influence of yesterday's upper air cyclonic circulation over central parts of Strait of Malacca, which would bring heavyrains in Cauvery delta and south coastal districts of Tamil Nadu till November 25, following an yellow alert was issued.

Met office today said it is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a Depression over Southeast Bay ofBengal around November 24.

It would continue to move west-northwestwards and is very likely to intensify further over southwest Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 48 hours.
