Mumbai, March 18 -- A major new IT park is set to come up in Purandar taluka of Pune district, as the Maharashtra government moves to reduce the growing burden on the existing IT hub at Hinjawadi IT Park.
With the number of companies steadily rising in Hinjawadi, infrastructure strain and traffic congestion have become serious concerns, prompting some firms to consider relocating to other states. To address this, the state government has proposed the development of a new IT park in Purandar, Industry Minister Uday Samant announced in the assembly.
