Rabat, Feb. 16 -- Morocco has climbed from 13th to 12th spot in the latest FIFA world ranking released on Thursday.



The Atlas Lions maintained their position at the top of the continental peaking, followed by Senegal (17th), Nigeria (28th), Egypt (36th) and Cote d'Ivoire (39th).



Teams that participated in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 made good improvements, Angola on top, climbing 24 spots to 93rd, Nigeria, the beaten finalists in the AFCON 2023, surged up 14 places to 28th, as for the African champion Cote d'Ivoire, they climbed ten places to 39th.
