Hyderabad, March 25 -- NeuEN Green Energy Pvt Ltd, a 50:50 joint venture between Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India, on Wednesday said it has secured a contract to supply 10,000 tonnes per annum (10 KTPA) of green hydrogen to Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL).

Under the agreement, NeuEN will set up a green hydrogen production facility at NRL's refinery in Assam, backed by a long-term offtake arrangement.

The project is expected to commence commercial operations in 2028, the company said in a release.

The facility will integrate renewable energy with advanced storage solutions to ensure round-the-clock supply, supporting the refinery's decarbonisation efforts.
