Shillong, Aug. 19 -- The North East Students' Organisation (NESO), an apex student's body of all the indigenous communities in the region, has written to Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma over the long-standing, unaddressed, and escalating issue of illegal migration into the region.

In a letter, NESO Chairman Samuel Jyrwa and Secretary General Mutsikhoyo Yhobu said the North East has been grappling with the challenge of uncontrolled and unchecked influx of illegal migrants for decades.
