Riyadh, Dec. 23 -- David Neres scored twice as Napoli defeated Bologna 2-0 on Monday to claim their third Italian Super Cup title.

Napoli opened the scoring in the 39th minute when Neres controlled a throw-in outside the penalty area before curling a superb shot into the top corner. The Brazilian doubled the lead shortly after the hour mark, winning possession inside Bologna's box and finishing from a tight angle past the advancing goalkeeper.

The victory earned Napoli their third Supercoppa Italiana crown, having previously lifted the trophy in 1990 and 2014.
