Maihar, June 8 -- A man allegedly killed his nephew by attacking him with an axe over a land dispute in Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh, police said on Sunday.
Police sources said there was an ongoing dispute over a piece of land in Bansipur village between Ashiq Kol and his uncle Lalli Kol.
On Friday evening, Lalli Kol, with three others, allegedly attacked Ashiq Kol with an axe. The nephew suffered serious injuries and succumbed to them during treatment at a hospital.
All the accused have been absconding since the incident. Maihar Kotwali police are searching for the accused.
