Shimla, March 2 -- A suspected murder case reported from the Theog subdivision of Shimla district was solved within 24 hours, with police arresting the accused following a swift investigation.

According to a media brief issued by Police Station Theog, an FIR dated February 28 was registered under Section 103(1) (302 IPC) in connection with the suspected murder at village Jarai, Post Office Devgarh, Tehsil Theog.

The case was filed based on the statement of Jagdish, a local orchardist, who had provided accommodation to a Nepali family engaged in agricultural and horticultural work.

The family included Suresh, his wife, five children, and his nephew Dhani Ram, who were staying in two room-orchard hutment in the orchard itself.
