Kathmandu, Oct. 29 -- Nepal's government, political parties, and representatives of the Gen Z movement began their first-ever tripartite dialogue at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, in an attempt to ease tensions and build consensus among all stakeholders ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for March 5, 2026.

The opening round of talks is seen as a crucial step toward rebuilding trust between Nepal's political establishment and the younger generation leading the Gen Z movement.

The government representatives included Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Law Minister Anil Sinha, Education Minister Mahabir Pun, and Communications Minister Jagadish Kharel.
