Kathmandu, Feb. 23 -- At least 18 people died when a bus on way from Pokhara to Kathmandu fell into the Trishuli river in Dhading early Monday morning, the Kathmandu Post said.
According to media reports, injured passengers from the bus accident at Charaundi in Benighat Rorang rural municipality, Dhading, have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
The bus was heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara when it plunged into the Trishuli river around 1:15am on Monday, the reports said.
Police reported that the death toll has risen to 18, and that 25 people were injured. Of these, 24 have been referred to Kathmandu for further medical treatment.
