Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 28 -- Former KPCC President K. Muraleedharan today said the "Communist Party of India (Marxist), like the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)", had no role in Kerala's renaissance movements that transformed the state's social fabric.

Inaugurating the "Villuvandi Yatra" (bullock cart rally) organised by the Dalit Congress as part of the 162nd birth anniversary celebrations of social reformer Mahatma Ayyankali, Muraleedharan said the renaissance vision set forth by Sree Narayana Guru was carried forward through the struggles led by Ayyankali.
