Shillong, June 24 -- A multidisciplinary team of doctors in the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Science (NEIGRIHMS) here in Meghalaya successfully saved the life of a young woman suffering from a rare complication known as a "Stump Blowout", a medical official said on Tuesday.
"Stump Blowout" - a rare and severe post-surgical complication where a previously closed-off airway reopens, leading to widespread lung infection and life-threatening pneumonia, a medical official said.
