Palghar, Nov. 25 -- In a disturbing incident from the remote Mokhada region, an ambulance driver allegedly abandoned a mother and her newborn baby midway, forcing the woman who was still recovering from childbirth-to walk nearly two kilometres to reach home.
The woman from Amale village had been admitted to Mokhada Rural Hospital on November 19. She was later shifted to the Cottage Hospital in Jawhar, where she delivered her baby safely. On the following day, she was discharged and provided with an ambulance to return home.
