Jammu, Nov. 8 -- union Minister and senior BJP leader Dr Jitendra Singh today said that the earlier governments and the elected representatives from far-flung areas like Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, had not only deliberately neglected the region, but also consciously exercised discrimination as a part of appeasement policy to keep a certain vote bank in good humour.
"It was only after Narendra Modi came as Prime Minister in 2014 that the decades of discrimination ended," said Dr Singh addressing a mammoth by-election rally here in support of the BJP candidate Devyani Rana.
He said that the region started getting its due and legitimate share.
