Washington, Nov. 16 -- Indian filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan has expressed gratitude to legendary director Martin Scorsese for offering what he calls a "gentle guiding hand" in shaping his latest film, Homebound, according to Deadline.

Speaking during his film's panel at Deadline's Contenders Film: Los Angeles, Ghaywan said Scorsese, who serves as the film's executive producer and mentor, played a crucial role in helping him find clarity while telling a story rooted in India's caste realities.

Homebound stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, who also attended the event.
