New Delhi, Dec. 25 -- : SG Pipers hockey director PR Sreejesh has said that if the franchise has to do well in the upcoming season of the Hockey India League(HIL) then the experienced players need to step up and assume a leadership role when things are going not well.
During a recent media interaction, the former India great said, "Last season we started with a win, but after that the team collapsed, there were no leaders to lift the team up, the experienced players should have stepped in and taken charge. This should not be repeated this time"The SG Pipers had finished bottom of the table in both the Men's and Women's categories during the 2024-25 season.
