Dimapur, Dec. 9 -- The North Eastern Council (NEC) released Rs 478.27 crore for Nagaland during November this year for various development programmes, supporting heritage and cultural centres, youth and sports infrastructure, and initiatives aimed at preserving indigenous traditions, while promoting tourism and local enterprise.

The NEC's support of projects spans critical sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture and allied activities, tourism, culture and heritage, education, spoils, skill development, livelihood promotion, and innovation.
