Chennai, Oct. 12 -- The Northeast monsoon is likely to set in over Tamil Nadubetween October 16 and 18, even as southern districts and Western Ghat areasof the state are expected to receive heavy rains till October 18.
Met office said conditios are favourable for the onset of Northeast monsoonover southern peninsular India of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikalbetween October 16 and 18.
