New Delhi, Dec. 24 -- New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Wednesday launched a 15-day Special Cleanliness Drive across the NDMC areas.

The initiative began on the eve of Christmas with a Special Wet and Dry Cleaning Programme at Sacred Heart Cathedral and Gole Dak Khana Roundabout during evening and night hours. Similar operations were conducted near other churches and prominent religious sites.

NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal said the drive, scheduled from 24 December 2025 to 7 January 2026, aims to maintain high standards of sanitation in areas of national significance that host VVIP offices, Parliament, foreign embassies, and central government offices.
