Patna, Oct. 13 -- A day after finalising its seat-sharing for the Bihar assembly elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) today failed to release the list of seats to be contested by its constituents.

Following several rounds of discussions in Patna and New Delhi, the NDA yesterday announced that the BJP and JD(U) would contest 101 seats each, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) 29 seats, and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) six seats each in the 243-member assembly.

The NDA was expected to release the seat-wise details at a joint press conference today, but the announcement was deferred, reportedly due to differences among the partners over a few constituencies.
