Nashik, Sept. 14 -- Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) senior leader and former state president Jayant Patil criticised the union government for allowing an India-Pakistan cricket match despite its earlier hardline stance that "blood and water cannot mix".

Referring to the recent Pakistan-linked Pahalgam terror attack, Jayant Patil said it was inappropriate to play cricket with Pakistan under such circumstances. He noted that the BJP-led Centre's stand on the issue has changed within a month.
