Nagpur, Nov. 23 -- NCP leader and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule today demanded that the Election Commission of India (ECI) take cognisance of remarks made by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, alleging he linked development funds to voter support during a civic poll campaign.
Addressing a press conference here, Ms Sule said the ECI has a moral responsibility to monitor such statements. In a strong democracy, the Election Commission must act on these issues.
"I have personally fought a case in the EC, but despite submitting all the documents, we did not receive justice," she claimed.
