Mumbai, July 5 -- Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Supriya Sule has challenged the central government's attempt at enforcing a mandatory three-language formula in Maharashtra, questioning its selective application across states. During an interaction with media today, Sule highlighted the policy's inconsistency: "If Hindi isn't compulsory in Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, or Odisha, why impose it here from Class 1?"
