Nagpur, Dec. 8 -- Geeta Sushil Hinge, women's wing leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), died in a road accident late Sunday night on the Gadchiroli-Nagpur highway near Pachgav. She was 53, police said.
According to police, Hinge was travelling to Gadchiroli after completing work in Nagpur when a speeding vehicle attempting to overtake rammed into her car from behind around 12:30 am. The impact left her with severe head injuries, resulting in her death on the spot. Her husband, Sushil Hinge, and the driver sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a private hospital in Nagpur.
