Pune, Dec. 27 -- The proposed alliance between Ajit Pawar and the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) for the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal corporations has collapsed even before taking shape, implying that status quo will reign in the political configuration in Maharashtra.
