Puducherry, Jan. 18 -- Coronavirus infection cases continued to remain under control in the Union Territory with just 23 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while one patient died in the last 24 hours, ending at 10 AM, on Monday.
According to Covid-19 status released by the health department here, of the 1,584 swab sample tests conducted on Sunday, 23 persons tested positive for the virus.
Seven new cases were reported in Puducherry region, three in Karaikal region and 13 in Mahe region.
As many as 20 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours. Eleven of them were from Puducherry region and nine from Mahe region.
The lone death was reported in Puducherry region.
