Chennai, Aug. 1 -- Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, Director General, National Cadet Corps (NCC) called on Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi, at Raj Bhavan here.
A defence statement today described the meeting as a courtesy call.
During the meeting, he exchanged views on the NCC's initiatives in promoting discipline among the youth and national integration.
The NCC Chief also called on Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to acknowledge the NCC's role in youth development and the State Government's continued support for the NCC in the state.
The General who has been on a two day visit to Chennai, earlier called on the outgoing General Officer Commanding of Indian Army Dakshin Bharat Area Lt Gen GS Brar.
