Srinagar, Sept. 20 -- The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Srinagar has arrested the main receiver of a 10.735 kg Charas consignment seized earlier in South Kashmir, exposing an interstate drug trafficking network spanning Jammu & Kashmir and West Bengal.
The accused, identified as Khoka Dey alias Khokha Da of Kolkata, was apprehended in a risky operation at Bowbazar with the support of NCB Kolkata. He was the intended recipient of the contraband, officials said.
"This arrest establishes the connection of the syndicate and highlights the interstate scope of the trafficking network spanning Jammu & Kashmir and West Bengal," a statement by NCB said.
