Mumbai, May 1 -- The Narcotics Control Bureau on Friday cracked down on a major international drug syndicate, seizing 349 kilograms of high-grade cocaine valued at Rs 1,745 crore in Mumbai, officials said.

The massive haul is being seen as one of the biggest cocaine seizures in recent times, pointing to a well-organized global trafficking network operating in and through India's financial capital.

Authorities have not yet released further operational details, and investigations are ongoing.
