New Delhi, Nov. 15 -- The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday said that the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Rajasthan Police have busted a clandestine laboratory operating in a remote village in the Sirohi district of the state, and seized large amounts of chemicals, which was enough to over 100 kgs of Mephedrone drug.
The seized material has an approximate street price of Rs. 40 crores, while five people have also been arrested by the joint teams, including the mastermind behind the entire illegal setup.
Mephedrone is being increasingly used as a psychotropic drug in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, according to an official statement.
