New Delhi, Dec. 15 -- India's leading economic policy think tank, the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), on Monday announced the appointment of Suresh Goyal as its 11th Director General, marking a significant leadership transition as the institution prepares for its next phase of growth.
Goyal will assume charge on January 5, 2026, succeeding Poonam Gupta, who led the organisation between July 2021 and April 2025.
The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for NCAER as it aligns its research agenda with India's long-term development vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
