Srinagar, April 15 -- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Iltija Mufti on Tuesday accused National Conference (NC) of having an "understanding" with the BJP to remain silent on the controversial Waqf (Amendment) Act.

She questioned why the NC did not bring a resolution against the Waqf (Amendment) Act despite the party having 50 legislators in the Assembly.

"Farooq (Abdullah)sahib should tell us about today. His son is the Chief Minister with 50 MLAs. Karnataka, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu decided to bring a resolution against Waqf. Tamil Nadu has already brought it. What was our Chief Minister doing? Why did they not bring a resolution against Waqf," Iltija said while talking to reporters on Tuesday.
