Srinagar, April 15 -- National Conference (NC) legislator and party Chief spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accusing its founder, the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, of being part of a long-term plan aligned with the BJP to marginalize Muslims.

Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Sadiq said the PDP must introspect following its electoral setback, asserting that the people had already delivered their verdict in the 2024 election.

"The PDP's downfall is a reflection of what people expressed in 2024. If we made mistakes, we accepted them and apologized. But to this day, Mehbooba Mufti has never apologized for her party's actions," the NC MLA said.
