NBWs issued against absconding accused in major codeine cough syrup smuggling case

Lucknow, Dec. 16 -- The crackdown on a major illegal codeine-based cough syrup smuggling network has intensified, with a Lucknow district court issuing non-bailable warrants (NBWs) against the absconding accused Shubham Jaiswal and Vikas Singh Narve.

The case is registered at the Sushant Golf City police station against both accused, who have been on the run for a long time, according to investigating agencies.

During the investigation of the FIR registered in February 2024, the involvement of Shubham Jaiswal and Vikas Singh Narve came to light.
