Los Angeles, Nov. 19 -- The '78th Primetime Emmy Awards' are set for September 14, 2026, and will be held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. NBC will broadcast the ceremony, which will also stream live on its sister platform, Peacock.

In keeping with NBC tradition, the event will take place on a Monday night to avoid conflicting with Sunday Night Football. The Creative Arts Emmys will be staged ahead of the main show, scheduled for September 5 and 6.

NBC has not yet announced a host or production team for the 2026 telecast. When the network last aired the Emmys in 2022, Saturday Night Live veteran Kenan Thompson hosted, with Done and Dusted and Hudlin Entertainment producing, according to The Hollywood...
