Chandigarh, Dec. 9 -- A fresh political confrontation erupted in Punjab on Tuesday as former legislator Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who was suspended from the state Congress unit, launched a sharp public offensive against senior party leaders while responding to a defamation notice served by MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.
Speaking in Amritsar, Kaur dismissed her suspension order, claiming it was issued by "a president whom no one accepts."
