Navi Mumbai, July 30 -- : A police officer was injured when an anti-encroachment drive in Navi Mumbai turned violent, as several transgender individuals resisted the action.
During the operation, the individuals reportedly pushed municipal officers, made obscene gestures, and verbally abused them.
One police officer sustained injuries while the transgender individuals were being taken to the police station. Consequently, police cases have been filed against five individuals, identified as Archana Pathak, Tiya Naik, Akshata Guru, Akanksha Patil, and Priya Tripathi.
