Bhubaneswar, Oct. 7 -- Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik, today sharply criticized the BJP government for its failure to maintain law and order in the state, alleging that an atmosphere of fear has gripped the people of Odisha.
In a post on his social media platform X Patnaik said, "At a time when the state should be celebrating the festive season with joy, an atmosphere of fear prevails. People are beginning to feel insecure."Referring to the murder of senior advocate and BJP leader Pitabas Panda in Ganjam, Patnaik said, "The brutal killing of a senior lawyer in front of his house is extremely shocking and tragic."He also extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
