Bhubaneswar, March 11 -- Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday released the monetary assistance of Rs.933.07 crore to 46 lakh small, marginal and landless farmers under Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation(KALIA) scheme in the state.

Patnaik also inaugurated Kalia centers in all 30 districts in the state to provide technical assistance to the farmers in agricultural-related activities.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also extended the scheme period to another three years till 2026-27for which the state government, he said will spend Rs.6030 crores.

These centres, he said, will act as innovation in the agricultural field and work as a resource centre.
