National initiative to curb child trafficking, early marriage brings Jharkhand into sharp focus

Ranchi, Jan. 28 -- A national initiative aimed at addressing child trafficking, early and forced marriage, child labour, and violence against women and children has brought renewed focus on Jharkhand, a state facing long-standing vulnerabilities linked to migration, poverty, and social exclusion.

The renewed momentum follows the adoption of the Delhi Declaration on Ending Violence Against Women and Children at the National Symposium "From Dialogue to Action for Every Woman and Child" held recently in New Delhi.
