Shillong, July 25 -- In a significant step toward hosting the 39th National Games in 2027, the Meghalaya government convened a preparatory meeting today in Shillong, bringing together Sports Ministers, senior bureaucrats, and representatives from respective States Olympic Associations from all the North Eastern States.
Meghalaya Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Shakliar Warjri, emphasised on the shared vision of making the Games a symbol of regional unity and national sporting excellence.
He added, "I believe that we are fully equipped to host the National Games and we are seeking to foster participation from all the North Eastern states."
