Ranchi, May 18 -- A one-day special consultation meeting on the Juvenile Justice Act and related laws was organised at the Judicial Academy, Jharkhand, Ranchi on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Annapurna Devi.
The objective of the meeting was to establish a dialogue among stakeholders to make the juvenile justice system more effective, sensitive, and just.
Addressing the gathering, Annapurna Devi said that a sensitive and empowered society is built when every child is given justice, protection, and respect.
The Juvenile Justice Act is a significant step towards protecting children's rights and providing them with rehabilitation and reintegration opportunities, she added.
